This policy is about this website. It is not the privacy policy for your medical records.

Dr Hatch consults at Milton Village Medical, and your clinical record is held by that practice under its own privacy policy and the Australian Privacy Principles. What the site measures

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are useful. It records the page you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, the type of device and browser, and how you arrived — for example from a Google search or a link.

It also records when someone clicks through to the HotDoc booking page, taps the clinic phone number, or clicks a 'book an appointment' link. That is how we know whether the site is doing its job.

None of this identifies you by name. We do not know who you are from analytics, and we do not try to find out.

The part that deserves saying plainly

The address of a page on this site often names a medical condition. If you read the sciatica guide, the analytics record contains the word sciatica.

That is true of almost every health website, but it is worth stating rather than glossing over. It is also why advertising features are switched off here: Google Signals and ad personalisation are disabled, so this browsing is not fed into an advertising profile and cannot be used to target you with ads elsewhere. Switching those off costs us some demographic reporting, which is a fair trade.

What this site does not do

There is no contact form, no newsletter sign-up, and no account to create. The site does not collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or any clinical information.

Booking happens on HotDoc, which is a separate company with its own privacy policy. When you click through to book, you leave this site and anything you enter there is handled by HotDoc and Milton Village Medical, not by this website.

There is no advertising pixel on this site — no Meta, no Google Ads remarketing, nothing that follows you to another website.

How to opt out

Browser 'Do Not Track' and most content blockers will stop analytics loading. Google also publishes an official opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout that works across every site using Analytics.

Nothing on this site requires analytics to function. Blocking it changes nothing about what you can read or how you book.

Cookies

The only cookies set are Google Analytics cookies, used to tell a returning visit from a new one. There are no advertising cookies and nothing is sold or shared with data brokers.
