Back Pain Doctor story

You're in safe hands

Dr. Hatch’s passion for musculoskeletal medicine started before medical school, during his ten-year career as an MRI Radiographer working with distinguished musculoskeletal radiologists. After completing his residency, he spent four years refining his diagnostic and management skills in Orthopaedic Surgery as a hospital registrar. Currently, Dr. Hatch is an assistant surgeon in Orthopaedic Surgery and a Specialist General Practice Fellow recognised by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and holds the Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine from the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (UK).

Dr. Hatch has completed multiple courses through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, including the General Surgical Sciences Exam, Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient, and Emergency Management of Severe Trauma. He also holds a certification in Orthopaedic Surgical Anatomy from QUT.

The practice covers three areas: musculoskeletal conditions of the spine and limbs, sports and exercise injuries in recreational and club athletes of all ages, and concussion assessment and return-to-sport clearance. Treatment is matched to the diagnosis, using non-surgical options where they are appropriate. Dr Hatch is a Fellow of the RACGP with extended skills in musculoskeletal, sports and exercise medicine, and is not a Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician (FACSEP); where a specialist opinion is needed, you are told and referred.
